      Live theater is wonderful. The immediacy of the direct collaboration between actor and audience cannot be achieved in any other medium. A play can make you laugh, cry … or think. Maura Campbell’s “Rosalee Was Here,” presented by the Green Candle Theatre Company at Lost Nation Theater last weekend, does all three.

Chandler Announces Auditions For ‘The Next Generation’
      The Chandler Center for the arts has announced that auditions will take place Tuesday, March 30 for the second annual Next Generation performance. Auditions are open to area high school students 18 years and younger who are seriously studying classical music of all genres—instrumental, ensemble, or vocal, as soloists or groups.

‘Valley Idol’ Contest Planned in Rochester
      The Route 100 Snow Travelers will sponsor the first annual Valley Idol Competition at the Rochester High School auditorium. Singers ages 13 and up are invited to audition and compete to win a first prize of $250 or a second prize of $200. A cappella auditions will take place Saturday, March 13 from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. at the auditorium.
