Jackie Higgins Is New Admin. Assist.

Jackie Higgins of Tunbridge is the new Administrative Assistant for the town of South Royalton, taking over the post from Peg Trombly.

Higgins, who began her new duties Monday, Oct. 1, was previously the Administrative Assistant for the town of Tunbridge.

Born and raised in Chelsea, Higgins served at one time as a member of the Chelsea Selectboard.

"It was while I was a member of that board that I became interested in municipal work," Higgins explained. "Before going to work for the town of Tunbridge, I worked for real estate agencies in Chelsea and Barre."

Higgins and her husband, Gavin, live in Tunbridge with their two sons, six-year-old Galen, and four-year-old Gage. She will be in her new office Monday-Friday and said she welcomes South Royalton residents to stop by with their concerns or just to say hello.
