Ada Cass Miller

RANDOLPH—Formerly of New Sewickley Township, Penn. Ada Cass Miller, 71, died Saturday, Oct. 5, 2002 at Fletcher Allen Hospital in Burlington, after a brief illness.

She was born May 9, 1931 in Sewickley, Penn. the daughter of Earle M. and Beulah (Ball) Cass.

She graduated from New Castle High School in Pennsylvania, in 1949, and from Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland, Ohio in 1954 with a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing. She worked in the nursing field for a number of years before retiring in 1985.

She lived for 32 years in New Sewickley Township, Penn., then retired to Randolph, with her husband Irvin L. Miller, Jr. She was a member of Bethany United Church of Christ in Randolph, the Daughter of the American Revolution, the Order of the Eastern Star, and the Mayflower Society.

She is survived by her husband, Irvin L. Miller, Jr. of Randolph; a daughter, Deborah Mischke, and husband Brent of Defiance, Mo.; four sons; Irvin L. Miller, III and wife Lynn of Seagoeville, Tex., William Miller and wife Laurie of Aledo, Tex., Robert Miller and wife Wendy of Hebron, Conn., and David Miller of Adiquippa, Penn.; and seven grandchildren.

Memorial services will be Thursday, Oct. 10, at the Sylvania Hills Cemetery and Memorial Park in Rochester, Penn.

A memorial service will be held at a later date in Randolph at Bethany United Church of Christ.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Ada’s memory may be made to either; the American Heart Assoc., PO Box 485, Williston, Vt. 05495 or to The American Diabetes Assoc., 77 Hegeman Ave., Colchester, Vt. 05446.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Day Funeral Home, Randolph, Vt.
