Bethel Boys; Senior Recognition & 2 Wins
     The Whitcomb Hornets Boys hosted the D3 South Royalton Royals on Monday, Oct. 6th. The hometown Hornets won the game with a 3-0 shutout. This was the Hornets last home game of the season and "Senior Recognition Day," a CVL tradition.

Playoffs on Tap

     Soccer playoff pairings for both boys and girls in both Divisions 3 and 4 will be released on Friday. First round games are likely to begin on either Tuesday or Wednesday. Division 1 & 2 pairings come out a week later.

Two More Wins For Lady Hornets
     The Whitcomb Lady Hornets played their last home game of the season on Monday, Oct. 6th. For three Lady Hornets, this would be their "last hurrah" as it was also "Senior Recognition Day.

3 Losses for Randolph Boys

     Last Tuesday the Guy Ghosts played at home against Montpelier and lost 5-0. When the Ghosts first met the Solons under the lights in the capital they had trouble containing their speed and agility and that again burdened the boys at home.

     In a nice break, the Gal Ghosts had a whole string of home games last week, though they couldn't seem to fill the win column. On Wednesday Randolph faced Peoples Academy at home and lost 4-0.
