RANDOLPH—Frank E. Hart, 80, of Randolph, died Wednesday morning, March 26, 2003, at the Menig Extended Care Facility in Randolph. He was born Aug. 25, 1922, in Bethel, the son of Frank and Mary (Marsh) Hart. He was raised in Bethel, and attended Whitcomb Graded School in Bethel, then worked with the Civilian Conservation Corps for a short time before entering the military. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II as a Machinist Mate First Class. He then worked in Research at the University of California in Berkeley, moving to Randolph in 1985. He was very handy, having built his own cabin, and enjoyed traveling and wood crafts. Survivors include his brothers, William Hart of Bethel, Robert Hart of Barnard, and Richard Hart of Lady Lake, Fla. He was predeceased by his brother, John, and a sister, Mary Kestler. Calling hours were held Friday, March 28, at the Day Funeral Home in Randolph. Graveside services with full military honors will be in May at the Vermont Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Randolph Center. Contributions in his memory may be made to the Menig Extended Care Facility, P.O. Box 2000, Randolph, VT 05060. Arrangements are by the Day Funeral Home in Randolph. ____________ |
