‘Pollock’ Film & Discussion At Chandler Gallery Jan. 22 A film on the life of abstract expressionist artist Jackson Pollock, starring Ed Harris, will be shown at Chandler Gallery, Saturday, Jan. 22, at 1 p.m. with discussion to follow. Viewing of the movie is restricted to older teens and adults, as this dark tragedy of the artist’s life has adult content. This is the second public gathering at Chandler Gallery, as part of Jeremiah Dube's senior project and student art show. The exhibit, "Music Interpretation through Art," includes works created last Saturday during a "Drawing to Music" workshop, led by Dube, an RUHS senior. The exhibit hangs at the gallery, on Randolph’s North Main Street, through Feb. 6. The public is invited to attend for an afternoon of film viewing and discussion, refreshments, and a chance to view student work on exhibit. "The movie is rated PG-13 for strong language," commented Dube, "but it is very good and teaches the viewer so much in a short time." Regular gallery hours are: most weekdays 9 a.m.- 3 p.m.; Thursdays, 3-5; Saturdays, 10-noon, and during performances at the music hall. Watch for the "Open" banner. ____________ |
