Cape Breton fiddling great Jerry Holland will be in Vermont from mid-January until early April, doing a series of workshops, private lessons, and concerts. Not only one of Cape Breton’s most famous fiddlers, he is a composer whose tunes have been recorded by many top fiddlers from around the world. Holland will be teaching at the Vermont Independent School of the Arts in Sharon on Mondays and Tuesdays beginning Jan 17. For registration and information, call Barb or Scott at 802-763-2334. He will also be doing a workshop and concert with Kevin Burke at the same location, date to be announced, as well as in Burlington. Jerry will also be teaching in Montpelier at Vermont Violins. On Wednesdays, he will be teaching a 10-week session for intermediate/advanced students from 5:30 to 7p.m. On Thursdays, he'll be teaching an advanced beginner/intermediate group.
