Teachers Invited to Montshire

To Preview Spring Exhibits

All teachers are invited to visit the Museum for a Teacher Open House on Saturday, Jan. 22, 11 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Educators can see the variety of exhibits and school programs the Montshire offers both at the Museum and at schools.

At the open house, teachers will be able to meet informally with members of the Museum's education staff, sample various workshops, and learn how Montshire programs meet their curriculum needs.

Two touring exhibits at the Museum this winter and spring will be on display: Rulers of the Ancient Seas, which introduces some of the fantastic sea creatures of the Cretaceous Period 70 millions years ago, and Crime Lab Detectives, which challenges visitors to use the scientific method to solve mysteries.

The open house is a great opportunity to preview these traveling exhibits and learn how they can be used with students. Refreshments will be provided in our classroom.

Admission is free for teachers with a school ID card, an NEA membership card, or a letter from the school principal identifying them as a public or private school teacher. The Museum is open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
