RCMS Memorial Concert Will Honor Marguerite Schenkman

The Rochester Chamber Music Society (RCMS) will presents the Marguerite Schenkman Memorial Concert this Sunday, July 31 at 4 p.m. at the Rochester Federated Church, following a pre-concert talk by Larry Hamberlin at 3:30 p.m.

Marguerite Schenkman was concertmaster for the Norfolk Symphony and principal violist of the Richmond Symphony under the baton of her husband, Edgar Schenkman. They retired to Rochester after having summered there for many years. She shared her love of making music and was a founding member of RCMS.

Performers at the July 31 concert will include Katherine Winterstein, violin; Linda Galvan, cello; and Cynthia Huard, piano. The program will include the popular "Café Music" by Paul Schoenfield, with additional programming to be announced.
