The Symbolism
Of the Earth Flag

I want to say again a few words about the Earth flag, what it is and why flying it is important.

It is not the flag of any organization. It is completely different from any other flag made or flown and cannot be considered as just a flag.

Fred Hoybe, the astronomer, said in 1959, "Once a photograph of the Earth taken from outside is available ... a new idea as powerful as any in history will be let loose.... The New Cosmology may come to affect the whole organization of society."

Our planet from outer space on a blue background was envisioned as a powerful symbol to unite all humans. This vision always before us could change our thinking and we would understand the importance of keeping Earth in mind in our education, politics, economics and religion.

For this reason it is sponsored by many working for a better world for all life.
