Flag Dispute
Is Pretty Silly

A tempest in a teapot is brewing in Rochester. It seems that local activists are now suffering from a severe case of flag envy due the varying sizes of the World flag and MIA-POW flags that fly in front of the Rochester post office.

Don't folks have better things to do than to become obsessed over the sizes of pieces of cloth?

All of this is happening in a town without a current active recycling program. If the save-the-world activists really wanted to do something, why not put all of their energy into beginning and maintaining an active, working, and profitable recycling program? Or, could it be that symbols are more important than substance?

It honor of this event I offer a limerick:

"There is a town that comprises/Flags of many sizes,/One was so small/It was hardly there at all,/Another was big and won prizes."
