GRANVILLE—Norman L. Brown, 67, died Tuesday morning, July 26, 2005, at his home. He was born April 13, 1938, in Granville, and was a lifetime Granville resident. He had previously been married to Patricia Gilman and was a logger all of his life. He had served as a Granville Selectboard member and Road Commissioner for many years, and enjoyed deer hunting and bird watching/feeding. Survivors include his sons, John Brown of Granville and David Green of Barre; daughters, Julie Brown of Rochester, Barbara Needham of Hancock, and Brenda Sabin of Warren; a sister, Irene Lambert of Tennessee; and 16 grandchildren. He was predeceased by his son, Marty Brown, and his brother, Roland Brown. Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 30, at the North Hollow Cemetery, on Maston Hill Road in Granville, with Pastor Tom Harty officiating. There are no calling hours.
