•St. John’s Day includes a plant, bake/food, book, & rummage sale with music and family fun, 9 a.m.-4 p.m., St. John’s Church, Summer St., Randolph.

•Yard Sale To Benefit the Randolph Singers, starts 8 a.m., 20 Elm St., Randolph. Info: 728-3849.

•Auction and Chicken Barbecue sponsored by the Strafford Vol. Fire Dept., auction begins 12 noon, complete dinner begins at 5 p.m., Strafford Firehouse, rain or shine (under tent).

•Chicken Barbecue, Flea Market, and Dance sponsored by the Barnard Vol. Fire Dept., food ready beginning 11 a.m., raffle drawing at 1 p.m., Barnard Town Hall; dance that evening at Barnard Town Garage with music by "Automatic Slim."

•Strawberry Supper to benefit the Royalton Congregational Church, featuring ham, baked beans, salads, homemade rolls and strawberry shortcake made with homemade biscuits; serving at 5, 6, & 6:30 p.m., Royalton Academy.

Sunday, July 2

•First annual Firefly Festival, 5 p.m. until after dark, with farm tour and explorations, 5 p.m.; community meal, 6 p.m.; open-air concert featuring singer-songwriter Lui Collins, 8 p.m.; firefly celebration with naturalist/bug-man Alan Graham (dark), Four Springs Farm, 776 Gee Hill Rd., Royalton.
