Motorcycle Fatality

On Rt. 12A

A 34-year-old Bethel man died Tuesday night after he lost control of his motorcycle on Route 12A in Braintree.

State police said Ronald Dessaint of Camp Brook Road was northbound, and had passed several vehicles, when he failed to negotiate a curve, just before 8 p.m.

Dessaint lost control of his 2004 Yamaha Warrior motorcycle and collided with the guardrail on the west side of the road, police said.

White River Valley Ambulance pronounced him dead at 10:08 p.m., state police said.

Randolph Fire Department and Randolph police assisted on scene.

Police said road conditions were dry at the time and weather was clear, Dessaint’s motorcycle was totaled in the fatal crash. A death notice appears in this week’s Herald, with a full obituary to follow next week.
