Every spring many of us wait, with much anticipation, the blooming of the flowers in our gardens. Thus was the case this year with the royal purple iris which have graced our front garden for many years. The added rainfall this year much enhanced their height and size and they were really quite magnificent. Many folks walking by stopped and commented how much they enjoyed these regal looking blossoms. And then they disappeared! We're sure the person(s) who snatched them enjoyed them—short life though it would be. If you had just left them in the garden,we all could have enjoyed them for a much longer time than they lasted in your house. Curses on you. George & Connie Karal Brookfield |
