Wyman H. Way, Jr.

CHELSEA—Wyman H. Way, Jr., 92, died Wednesday, June 21, 2006 at Rowan Court Health & Rehabilitation Center in Barre.

He was born December 9, 1913 in North Hero, the son of Cora (Blair) and Wyman H. Way. He attended school in North Hero. He worked at many different jobs as a laborer, living with and working for the Ray Young family in North Hero, and Gordon and Barbara Winters of Swanton, and until a few years ago, on the Daniel and Bette Lambert dairy farm in Randolph Center.

For the last few years he lived at the Riverbend Residential Care Home in Chelsea, where he was much loved, and enjoyed sitting in the front yard and waving to people as they passed by. He enjoyed animals, gardening and splitting wood.

He is survived by a brother, George Way of Milton; a sister, Julia Norris of St. Albans; several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

He was predeceased by 14 brothers and sisters.

There are no public calling hours or funeral service. The burial will be held at a later date in the Grand Isle Cemetery in Grand Isle. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Riverbend Outside Furniture Fund, c/o Riverbend, RCH, P.O. Box 7, Chelsea, Vt. 05038.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Boardway & Cilley Funeral Home, Main Street, Chelsea.
