Brookfield Town Hall Reunion Attracts Over 100 Attendees

On Sunday, Aug. 27, over 100 people between the ages of 88-11 gathered at the Brookfield Town Hall for the Town Hall Reunion. They were greeted with tables of fresh flowers, buffet tables filled with decorative and delicious food, and music and dancing to the famous "one and only fiddler," Harold Luce & Friends band.

This was just the beginning to an afternoon filled with reuniting old friends, reminiscing, and sharing memories of the many events they had attended in that hall over the years. Whether it was town meetings, Memorial Day exercises, eighth grade graduations, Masonic and Eastern Star installations, traveling shows, or the Saturday night dances, to name a few, the center of Brookfield was the "Old Town Hall."

People attended the reunion from all over Vermont, as well as from Maryland, Florida, Tennessee, Connecticut, and Arizona. Some of those attending had not seen each other in more than 50 years.
