Democrats in Norwich, Sharon, Strafford, and Thetford have a problem on the September 12 primary: three good Democrats are running for two state representative seats. Two of the candidates are from Norwich, which has the largest block of voters. The third is the incumbent, Jim Masland. Jim has served in the legislature for eight years, and has worked hard for the environment and other good causes. His experience and institutional memory are great assets. He has always looked out for the interests of all the towns in the district, large and small, and for people in all walks of life. I hope that voters in Norwich will remember his good services and return him as well as one of their neighbors to the House. Edward Doughtie Strafford |
