Bernie's Record
Being Exposed

In all the years that Bernie Sanders has been Vermont's Representative in Congress, he has not been held accountable for his voting record, until now. Rich Tarrant is seeing to it that Bernie's record is exposed, front and center.

As with any incumbent, the voting record is what it is—voting is either yea, nay, or not present. The voting record of any politician is fair game for review, questions, comments, criticism, or whatever. The politicians work for the voters, no one else.

That was certainly Bernie's approach when he defeated Peter Smith-R back in 1990 I believe. (Of course Bernie had support from the NRA because Smith betrayed the NRA membership, but that has been forgotten by Bernie and others).

Bernie's attempt in explaining a vote he made (or didn't make) because he had questions of constitutionality, was lame at best. The courts are in business to determine constitutionality, not Bernie Sanders or any other Congressman. Bernie should have had the best interests of Vermonters in mind, and now, fortunately, Rich Tarrant is pointing out these disconnects in the Sanders record.

So, Bernie, may we remind you that you and you alone created your record—no one else did.
