Thank you Martin Getz for your most informative letter to the editor last week!

The history you mentioned must have enlightened many of the readers of The Randolph Herald, as well as me. I know it is my lack of reading and research that kept me uninformed, but I’ll bet there were others out there that wondered "Why didn’t Israel have its own country all along?"

You surely answered that question plus filling me in on the history of Israel. Thank you.
