VTC Pool Found
To Be Closed
I have written the following letter to Mike Van Dyke at Vermont Technical College:

For the sixth time this Summer, I arrived at the VTC SHAPE pool only to find the pool closed and no one available to answer questions about why it wasn't open. This was Sunday August 27th at around 1:45. While I was there, I saw several other people also arrive and leave confused. The situation at the pool is unacceptable. The level of communication is poor and no attempt seems to be being made to rectify the situation…

In this weekend's case, I called VTC before I left and the message on the answering machine had said the pool was open. So, I drove the ten miles from Bethel only to have to drive ten miles back. This wastes my time and money for what should be a completely avoidable situation. If you can't staff the pool, please find a way to notify the community that the pool is closed and make sure all staff are trained to do the same. We're willing to work with you; I only wish I felt that the reverse was true.
