Bluebird Convocation

A sure sign that summer is coming to a close in Randolph: after a month’s vacation to somewhere in the north, the bluebirds have returned. This morning I counted 20 bluebirds on our south lawn, with more out front.

Traditionally this is the time for them to gather before their flight south. Last year I was able to count more than 40 before they were gone. We will now look forward to next spring when Mister Bluebird always returns first to check out their summer homes. God is so good to us.
