Win over Rivendell

Saturday, Sept. 16, the Chelsea boys came away with their first win, 2-1 over Rivendell. Sean McCarthy scored the first goal of the game on a direct kick giving the Devils a 1-0 lead. The Rivendell Raptors responded in the second half and scored a goal of their own, tying the game 1-1.

With Chelsea playing hard, Zeb Allen sent the ball to the net to give Chelsea the 2-1 win. Chelsea played a great passing game with tough defense and a strong offense to give them the win.

Loss to Thetford

On Tuesday, the Chelsea Devils lost a challenging game to Thetford 3-0. Despite the rainy weather the Chelsea boys played an intense game of soccer.

With tough defense from both teams the score at the half was tied at 0-0. Going into the second half the game continued to be scoreless until a Thetford player sent the ball to the back of the net. Thetford Academy scored twice more to give them a 3-0 win.

Although Chelsea did not score, Nate Dowlin, Joe Bonosara and Jimmy Welch all saw scoring opportunities. Chelsea goalie, Galen Milchmen had an outstanding game with many saves from the Thetford offense. With the loss the Chelsea boys fall to a 1-4 record.
