SoRo Girls Win vs Rochester

Last Thursday, Sept. 14, the South Royalton girls’ soccer team beat Rochester 2-0. Both teams played great defense. The Rochester goalie, Jody Martin made four great saves, while goalie Logan Russell of South Royalton had her first outstanding shutout, making 13 saves.

South Royalton shot 12 times on goal, while Rochester made 23. Rochester's highest shooter was Heather Gorton with seven shots. South Royalton's was Alex Honkala, making two flawless goals in the second half of the game and shooting five times the entire game. South Royalton plays again on Thursday, Sept. 21.
