The Democratic candidates for Windsor County’s three seats in the Vermont Senate announced this week they will hold a "Listening Tour" all throughout Windsor County in the next few weeks. "We are hosting meetings around Windsor County at which we hope to hear from citizens about their needs and ideas," said the release from Sen. John Campbell and candidates Alice Nitka and Dick McCormack. "We will, of course, answer questions and offer comments as appropriate, but the idea is for us to hear from you," the release said. "We know that people are concerned about a myriad of issues including property taxes and assessments, school budgets and education quality, health care, jobs, energy and the environment. We look forward to hearing your thoughts and suggestions." The first meeting will be at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 11 at the Royalton Academy in Royalton Village. "We invite Democrats, Republicans, Progressives, Independents and all other Vermonters to participate," the release stressed. Democratic State Rep. Rozo McLaughlin will also be a host at the Royalton Academy meeting. |
