There are many ways to dispute the governor's agenda of affordability. While mourning the greatest cost, the lives of nearly 3,000 American men and women along with tens of thousands of Iraqi men, women and children, most glaring is Douglas' irresponsibility in refusing to acknowledge the financial cost of the shameful Iraq war, now near $450 billion. It drains the states of money which could fund health care, agriculture, college costs, on and on, all the while creating more terrorists and making us less safe. Ross Laffan Rochester |
