Agnes A. Carrier CORINTH—Agnes A. Carrier, 88, a former long-time resident of South Royalton, died Thursday, September 28, 2006 at Brookside Nursing Home in White River Jct. She was born in Kent, Conn., November 2, 1917, the daughter of John Henry Austin and Carrie (Beardsley) Austin, and attended schools there. She played all sports in high school, but liked basketball the most. On June 5, 1939 she married Ellsworth Carrier in Kent, Conn. He predeceased her in 1995. She worked taking care of children, in restaurants and doing housework for different people. She also worked for Remington Arms for two years, and drove a school bus for many years in Corinth. Survivors include one daughter, Grace Perry of Sherwood, Oregon; one son, David Carrier of Corinth; four grandchildren and two great grandchildren. She was predeceased by one son, Martin Carrier; five brothers: John, James, Walter, Charles and Paul Austin; and four sisters: Blanche Smith, Ada Rosemard, Grace Austin and Hazel Van Dyke. At her request, there are no services. The Hale Funeral Home of Bradford is in charge of arrangements. ____________ |
