RUHS in OT

The RUHS boys’ soccer team lost an overtime heartbreaker, 2-1, to the undefeated Peoples Academy last Thursday in Morrisville.

During regulation play RUHS defender Thomas Jacobs scored on a penalty kick to even up the score to 1-1 in the first half. Neither team scored in the second half, when Randolph was limited to one shot on goal.

The game ended in the sudden-death overtime when Peoples’ Simone Deplano powered in a kick from 25 or 30 yards out.

The Galloping Ghosts’ keeper David Dube had an incredible 24 saves in the game.

The Ghosts, who are 4-3-3, host U-32 at home Saturday at 11 a.m., and play at Spaulding next Tuesday.
