Fox Is Willing
To Listen

As an elected member of Bethel selectboard, I disagree with the description of Neal Fox as "not a leader," as stated in a letter in your issue last week.

A selectman hears many different opinions from his constituents One soon comes to realize that in many issues, things are not always as clear-cut as they seem at first glance. One has to listen to all sides and come up with something that’s workable. In my opinion, our selectboard has been doing just that. Our decisions have always been made after careful consideration of everyone’s point of view, and that includes our program regarding the town hall.

Much of the credit for our solidarity as a selectboard goes to Neal Fox’s willingness to listen, not only to the public but also to his fellow selectmen, and then to work with us to reach a consensus. To me that’s real leadership, and it is the reason I think Neal would make an excellent legislator.
