Affordability
Issues Important
For those who missed the Affordability Forum at VTC on Tuesday evening the following highlights and can be reported:

• Vermont state tax burden per capita is the highest in the nation (US Census Data).

• Property taxes: K-12 school expenditures are 5th highest in the nation at $11,608 per student with lowest class size in nation—10.9 pupils per teacher (NEA).

• Vermont ranks 10th highest in per capita debt in the nation (US Census Data).

• Vermont ranks #43 in Small Business Survival and #46 in Business Climate—bottom 10th percentile in both! (Small Business and Entrepreneurship Council).

Where will your next job come from? No wonder our young people are leaving the state to find better paying jobs. Where is there room for any more taxes! You can find out how your legislator has voted on key affordability issues by visiting: www.affordable

Take the time to check. It is important to your wallet!
