Douglas Bowen, Sr. NEWINGTON, N.H.—Douglas W. Bowen, Sr., 70, died Sunday, Nov. 5, 2006 at his home. He was born Jan. 17, 1936 in Springfield, the son of Samuel and Rachel (Clark) Bowen. He served in the US Air Force, and graduated for Vermont Technical College. He had been a dairy tester for Sealtest Dairy in New York. He had lived in Randolph, and most recently in Newington, N.H. He raised and bred Morgan horses, and was a member of the disabled American Veterans and the Morgan Horse Association. Survivors include his sons, Terrance Bowen and Douglas Bowen, Jr., both of Rochester, N.H.; daughters, Barbara McDonnell of Woodstock and Ronda Marquardt of Quechee; a brother, Samuel Bowen of Kittery, Maine; a sister, Rachel Merchant of Newington, N.H.; his ex-wife, Nancy Scott of Woodstock; 12 grandchildren, 2 great-grand-children, and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, Robert Bowen. Graveside services with military honors will be held Friday, Nov 10 at 1 p.m. at Pleasant View Cemetery in Randolph.
