Ruth Lindstrom

EAST GREENWICH, R.I.—Ruth (Danielson) Lindstrom, 88, formerly of Tunbridge, died Sunday, Nov. 5, 2006, after a short illness. She was the widow of Howard A. "Johnny" Lindstrom, Jr.

She was born in West Warwick, R.I., Oct. 21, 1918, a daughter of the late Charles and Ellen (Holmes) Danielson. She had lived in East Greenwich for the past year, previously living in West Warwick for most of her life. She lived in Tunbridge from 1986-2000.

She graduated from Rhode Island College in 1940 with a teaching degree. She taught for over 30 years for the Warwick School Department, mostly at the Harold F. Scott Elementary School, until her retirement in 1980. When she moved to Tunbridge, she volunteered for a few years at the Tunbridge School. She attended the Tunbridge Church and Christ Evangelical Covenant Church in East Greenwich, R.I.

Survivors include two sons, Howard A. Lindstrom III and his wife, Marie, of West Warwick, R.I.; and Brent J. Lindstrom and his wife, Carol, of Tunbridge; a daughter-in-law, Patricia Lindstrom of West Warwick (widow of the late Keith C. Lindstrom); seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

She was the sister of the late Clifford and Dorothy Danielson and Florence White.

Memorial services will be held at Christ Church, 1025 Main Street, East Greenwich, R.I., Sunday, Dec. 3, at 1:30 p.m. Donations in her memory may be made to Global Christian Centre Ministries, PO Box 305, Danville, Wash., 99121-0305.
