Thankful On
Thanksgiving

On Thanksgiving Day while visiting my family in Randolph, my two-year old daughter, Chloe, had a serious allergic reaction for which I had to take her to the Gifford Medical Center Emergency Room.

I was nervous to take her to a hospital far from my familiar hospitals here in Nashua, but it turned out to be a surprisingly wonderful experience. I am so grateful for the care and attention given to us that day I had to write and express my appreciation.

Everyone I came in contact with that day, including the receptionist, Carole Rennie, the woman who registered us, Tammy Dodge, Nurse Andra, Dr. Lucy Wollaeger, and respiratory therapist Dan Pritchard.

We were seen immediately. I was most grateful for this, given my anxiety over my little girl's condition. Nurse Andra made Chloe feel comfortable and relaxed right from the start.

How Dan Pritchard ever convinced Chloe to sit still with a mask over her face for that long is beyond me. Maybe it was his animation and special dragon mask that did the trick.

Dr. Wollaeger made me feel completely secure in her diagnosis regarding my daughter's condition and follow-up care. I hope the people of Randolph realize what they have in Gifford Medical Center.
