Donal R. White

RANDOLPH CENTER—Donal R. White Sr., 66, died Thursday, Nov. 30, 2006 at the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, N.H.

He was born April 20, 1940 in Randolph, the son of Frederick J. and Mildred (Fiske) White.

He attended Randolph schools , and following his education, he worked as a butcher at Greenwood’s Slaughterhouse in East Randolph. He later owned and operated his own slaughterhouse in Montpelier. He had also worked on the family farm, was a logger, and collected and re-cycled scrap metal. He had been an active member of AA for the past 22 years and was a very family-oriented man.

Survivors include his long-time companion, Glenda Kriesz of Randolph Center; a son, Donal White, Jr. and partner Darrell Scott of Gresham, Ore.; three daughters: Roseann Weaver and husband, Vance, of Yakima, Wash.; Millie Green and husband, Edward, of Randolph; and Wendy van den Berg and husband Marcel of Hillsboro, Ore; five brothers: John White of Randolph Center, Terry White of Brookfield, Anthony White and Bruce White, both of Randolph; and Kevin White of Bethel; six sisters: Deanna Pedersen and Jill Williams, both of Randolph Center; Marcia Norton of Braintree, Judy Perdue of Washington; Nancy Edwards of Wilder, and Marlena White of Randolph; six grandchildren: Sam Weaver, Deven White, Justin and Melinda Green, and Mason and Jasper van den Berg; and many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his parents, and a daughter, Donna Swinchoski.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, Dec. 6 at the Day Funeral Home in Randolph, with Pastor George Sweet officiating. Pallbearers were Donal White, Jr., David White, Steve Swinchoski, Ed Green, Marcel van den Berg and Darrell Scott. Burial followed in the Randolph Center Cemetery.

Arrangements were under the direction of the Day Funeral Home of Randolph.
