MILTON–Ernest A. Caswell, Jr., 61, of Milton, died Monday afternoon, Dec. 11, 2006 at his home. He was born Dec. 31, 1944 in Randolph, the son of Ernest A. Caswell, Sr., and Dorothy (Ben-nett) Caswell. He graduated from Randolph High School, and married Cynthia Cornell in Northfield on May 9, 1964. He had worked for Green Mountain Stock Farm in Randolph, the Blanchard farm in Braintree, the David Silloway Farm, the Dimmick’s, and the Warren Preston Farm, all in Randolph Center. He had also worked as a custodian at Randolph High School. He lived in Randolph many years, then St. Albans and Georgia (Vt.), before moving to Milton in 2004. He enjoyed animals, shopping, and driving his Allis Chalmers tractor. Survivors include his wife, Cynthia Caswell of Milton, two sons, Ernest A. Caswell III of Windsor, and Christopher C. Caswell of Georgia (Vt.); a daughter, Susan A. Pregent of Swanton; two brothers, Lloyd Caswell of Braintree and James Caswell of Randolph Center; a sister, Cheryl Rathbun of Randolph; and six grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Friday, Dec. 15 at 1:30 p.m. at the Day Funeral Home in Randolph, with Rev. Ronald E. Rilling officiating. Burial will follow at Pleasant View Cemetery in Randolph.
