Thank you for the full page photo spread in the December 28th edition covering Bingo at the White Church in Bethel. We regret that in telling your reporter how Bingo started in Bethel, we didn’t make it clear that there were other people involved in its planning and beginning stages. At this point we would like to mention these people. Without their help and dedication, Bingo would not have gotten off the ground. Mel and Carol Washburn; Bill and Sandra Green; Ed and Suzie Rogers; as well as many other church members, too numerous to mention, who have stepped forward over these past 12 years to help carry on the dedicated work. Bingo has helped the United Church of Bethel fund many major building projects, and has served as a weekly social gathering for many members of our wider community.
