Many Santa Helpers Involved
In Brightening Main Street

The bright showing of holiday lights up and down Main Street in Randolph don't just happen of their own accord. There's a lot of work involved, and this week Chamber Director Lynn Irish took time to point out who was responsible for such a "sparkling success":

"Back in November, community members Jack Cowdrey, Bob Wright, Francis Lawes, Travis Lawes, Ken & Martha Hafner, Edwin Place and Bethany Drum came out to hang lights and wreathes, as well as Ken & Jeanne Goss, decorating chairpersons, and Lynn Irish. Thanks to Dunkin’ Donuts for providing the refreshments.

"Throughout the season, Albert Huntley checked the lights often, even replacing a string or two due to vandals. Then Travis and Francis were back to help take down some of the decorations. The rest will be removed as weather permits to be stored for another year.

"We thank everyone for coming out to help make this a very festive place to work, shop and visit during the holidays.

"Also, thanks to all the businesses that hosted visits with Santa—Ben Franklin, Chittenden Bank, Cover to Cover, Northfield Savings Bank, Randolph Cooperative Market, Randolph National Bank, Randolph Senior Center, Randolph Smart Shop, Upper Valley Services and Valley Bowl.

"Most importantly, thanks to Santa for the special attention paid to those who came to greet him. We look forward to next year."
