Greta A. Salegna PITTSFIELD—Greta Ann Salegna, 76, of New London Conn. and Pittsfield, died January 17, 2007 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident in Pittsfield. She was born November 4, 1930 in New London, Conn., the daughter of Secondo and Anna (Frausini) Gori. She graduated from the former Chapman Tech High School in New London, Conn. She married Nicholas P. Salegna on September 3, 1955 in the Saint Mary’s of the Sea Church in New London, Conn. She had been employed by the Hartford National Bank and the Connecticut National Bank for many years, and was the head teller prior to her retirement. She enjoyed cooking, knitting, family and spending summers at the Cape. Since the mid 1960s, she and her family had been part time residents of Pittsfield. Survivors include her husband, Nicholas P. Salegna of New London, Conn. and Pittsfield; three daughters: Nikki Gullickson of Groton, Conn.; Annette Barber of Norwich, Conn.; and Renee Lyall of Salem, Conn.; a son, Peter Salegna of Norwich, Conn.; two sisters, Josephine Pezzolesi of Niantic, Conn.; and Adriana Petrini of Waterford, Conn. and Naples, Fla.; nine grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at a later date in Connecticut. Local arrangements are by the Aldous Funeral Home of Rutland. ____________ |
