Jefferey Haikara

REDINGTON SHORES, FLA.— Jefferey A. Haikara, 60, died Thursday, Dec. 14, 2006, at Bay Pines VA Health Care System.

A native of Bethel, he moved to Florida in 1955. He worked as a building maintenance manager in Golden County for 20 years. He was a Navy veteran of the Vietnam War. He was a musician, songwriter, cook, magician, and an artist.

Survivors include a son, Karl of Golden, Colo.; his mother, Irma Haikara of Redington Shores, Fla.; a brother, John of St. Petersburg, Fla.; two nephews; and a niece.

The National Cremation Society of Clearwater, Fla. is in charge of arrangements.
