Reiki Claims
Are Disturbing

What a nice little world we live in! Neighbor helping neighbor in any small way that we are able to. We do little acts of kindness in return for what our fellow man has done for us.

An example is of how relieved we are to have our vehicle fixed by the mechanic. We are sure to thank him in any manner we can, showing our gratitude. The same goes for the carpenter, the plumber, the doctor, or the nurses that were so kind in helping us when we were in a bind.

I retrieved a Reiki ad that I had already thrown into the garbage because it stated this about healing: Craniasacral therapy, pediatric craniosacral therapy, massage therapy, Reiki, and Reiki certification classes. All these serious conditions can be healed by these practitioners that are everywhere? And then they state that you, yourself, can become a certified healer after taking their classes. To me that’s like becoming the mechanic, the plumber, the carpenter, the nurse, and most of all, the doctor.

Who says we are to become a Reiki healer? Why is there training for everyone, and how does it compare to a traditional medical doctor’s eight or more years of education in order to achieve a medical degree?

Reiki seems like a dangerous practice, sickness of false hope that can easily be spread from believer to believer. Almost like witchcraft; once you’ve experienced it, you can then influence others into it.

Now I’ll be sure to crinkle up that Reiki ad. Better yet, I’ll burn it, because the only place that stuff will bring you into is eternal fire.
