In their only meeting of the season the Hornets faced the D-III Rivendell Raptors in Bethel last Monday, Jan. 29 and lost by 14 points in the 60-46 contest. Raptor Adrian Pike was high scorer with 20 points. Hornet Brian Ward and Raptor Sean McCarty were next with 15 points each followed by Raptor Karl Faessler with 12 points and Whitcomb’s Deven Hill with 11 points. On Friday, Feb. 2 Whitcomb ended the week with a game against the D-III South Royalton Royals, who earned the season sweep with their second victory over the Hornets. Whitcomb plays Craftsbury Saturday away at 1 p.m. They travel to Chelsea on Wednesday, Feb. 14 and face the Red Devils. ____________ |
