Citizen Action Day

At Vt. Statehouse

On Thursday, Feb. 15, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., we all have a chance to speak out about the environment during Citizen Action Day at the Vermont State House.

Citizens, legislators, and guest speaker David Goodman will be focusing on creating a cleaner, healthier Vermont, featuring several issues ranging from worldwide to local. Primary concerns are numerous: safe, affordable, energy efficient power supply options to help minimize global warming; safeguarding Vermont's waters by improving stormwater policies and cleaning up Lake Champlain; enhancing both natural areas and working landscapes by wisely managing urban, village, and rural development; and increasing public awareness of polluters, pollutants, and enforcing penalties.

For more information and to register, visit www.vtactionday.
org or call 223-7222.

Our statehouse and its legislators are remarkably accessible to each of us. We're all familiar with Town Meeting Day. Why not take advantage of THIS opportunity, and participate on Citizen Action Day and any other day that suits your needs?
