My name is Vivian Branschofsky and I am announcing my candidacy for the remainder of the term of the selectman’s position which has recently become vacant due to the resignation of the incumbent.

I have been a full time resident of Granville for the past 27 years and am currently one of the Town Auditors, a position I have held for several years. Many of you know me as the owner/operator of Little Siberia Perennials, which I ran successfully for 12 years.

For the past two years I served on the Board of the Vermont Chapter of the APDA (American Parkinson’s Disease Association) as board secretary. I am also president of the Mountain Gardeners Garden Club, based in Waitsfield.

As a shareholder and skier at the Mad River Glen Ski Area Cooperative I was a member of the Shareholder Relations Committee and am presently assisting in a major fund raising activity.

Should I be chosen for the position, I will be fully prepared to dedicate the time and effort required to represent our townspeople in all matters in a fair and open minded way.
