The Rochester boys recently traveled to Blue Mt. in search of a late season win. Though the game was close in the beginning, the Buck’s high powered offense proved too much for the Rockets. After a few minutes of close play, the Bucks put the Rockets in a huge hole that was impossible to climb out of. The final score was 78-37. Taylor Fuller led the Rockets in scoring with 10 points. Loss to Concord The Rockets were blown out on the road when they visited Concord, as the Wildcats ran away with a 70-43 win. This is in stark contrast to the last time the Rockets played Concord at home and beat them in double overtime. The Wildcats poured on the pressure forcing many turnovers and fast breaks. The Rockets were unable to mount a comeback. Chelsea Wins The Rochester Rockets suffered another tough loss by a large margin to the Chelsea Red Devils at home, 73-44. Chelsea’s hot shooting overwhelmed the Rockets and The Red Devils were able to get a comfortable win over their CVL opponent. With the season winding down the Rockets will play rival Whitcomb next week, in hope of a late win to build some momentum for the post season. JV The JV team ended the season on a high note with a win over LCWS. A close contest through-out, the Rockets were able to win by a slim margin of three points. The JV team finished the season well, winning two out of its last four games, with wins over LCWS, and Concord. In the Concord game, Jace Curtis and Liam McKinley both had 15 points and McKinley also added 12 rebounds and four assists. Harlan Hopkins also had a career high six. The two losses came from Chelsea and Blue Mt. In the loss to Chelsea, Curtis had his best game ever with a career high 19 points. All together, this was a decent season for the Rockets as they finish with a record of 8-14. ____________ |
