Jesse Orr’s ‘Genuine Vermont’
Photographs at Gifford Gallery

Work by digital photographer Jesse Orr of Bethel will be on display through April 4 at the Gifford Art Gallery at Gifford Medical Center in Randolph. There will be a reception with Orr this Sunday, March 4 from 3-5 p.m. at the gallery.

Orr captures Vermont nature and now wildlife. Since his "Side by Side" show with his grandmother Roberta "Bert" Hancock Dean in September 2005, and his solo "Eye on Vermont" show in May at Gifford, Orr has added wildlife and other animals to his collection of Vermont nature. Subjects include blue jays, cows, squirrels and some wildlife humor through his "Frogs at the Resort" photo. Waterfalls are another theme.

The show, called "Genu’eye’ne (Genuine) Vermont," will also feature "Baby Fox," which won the People’s Choice Award at the Tunbridge World’s Fair in September and "Summer Sunflower" featured in a November show at Frog Hollow Craft Center in Middlebury as part of Handicapped Artists of Vermont Month.

Orr has been taking photos since 2000. The Gifford Art Gallery is located just left of the hospital’s main lobby. Gifford Medical Center is at 44 S. Main St. (also Route 12) in Randolph.
