Victims of House Fire

A party is scheduled for Friday to help raise money and get needed items to George White and family, whose Tunbridge house burned down last week. White's tenants had no insurance and have lost everything. White himself is a long-time Tunbridge resident, father of a school-aged daughter and new baby on the way.

The benefit party is being put together by the gang at the weekly Freight House jam session in South Royalton, where White regularly plays guitar.

Friday's event will be at the Tunbridge Grange, which is in North Tunbridge on Route 110. It will include a potluck (finger foods and drinks), music and an auction.

"Bring friends, children, everyone you can find!" say the organizers.
