Rosane And

Metcalf Are

Finalists

In Montpelier

It looks like pretty soon, either Brookfield will be without a principal or the Orange-Windsor Supervisory Union will be without a superintendent.

Brookfield Prin. Bob Rosane and OWSU Supt. Steve Metcalf are the two finalist candidates for Montpelier's superintendent. The two came out on top after a review of 15 applications, according to reports.

Rosane and Metcalf will visit with the Montpelier board, teachers, students and the community in March. The board could decide to re-open the search, but that is not anticipated.

Rosane has been Brookfield principal since 2003. Metcalf, for 20 years principal of the Randolph elementary School, became OWSU superintendent in 2005.

The chosen candidate will succeed another man with long ties in the White River Valley. Leaving the Montpelier post is John Everitt, who served for years in Bethel schools. He has been appointed superintendent of the South Burlington schools, one of the most coveted administrative positions in the state.
