Where It's Due

Just a quick correction to the Feb. 22, 2007 article about Vermont's FIRST Competition team. In 2001, a single Vermont Team got its designated number by FIRST (#885) and was started by a good man named Michael Hodulik.

Mike was employed by Northern Power in Waitsfield at the time and worked hard to build a team of students from many schools such as Harwood, Whitcomb, Rochester, and VTC.

His endless energy and motivation to get students involved helped get the team rolling six years ago. Others mentioned in the article were a huge part of the original team, but it was really Mike who got Team 885 out of the FIRST starting gate.

Many thanks to Mike and the folks at Advanced Animations for that amazing 2001/2002 season.
