Canadian singer-songwriter-guitarist Bruce Cockburn returns to the Chandler Music Hall stage in Randolph for a solo acoustic evening Saturday, March 24 at 7:30 p.m.

Cockburn is one of today’s most innovative artists. His music echoes his own passion for social justice and his concern for the environment. Blending modern musical forms of folk and rap with ancient and traditional elements of prophetic poetry, he creates his own unique voice.

Cockburn’s musical history spans nearly five decades and 29 albums. His newly released "Life Short, Call Now" addresses the war on terror, ecological issues, and personal relationships. Cockburn says that one song on the album, "To Fit my Heart," describes "the spiritual wandering that goes on in all my albums. There’s an ongoing quest to sort of figure out the cosmos."

This quest finds him roaming in this new music from Missouri to Baghdad to Jerusalem, and on into the cosmos, with a wide-ranging playfulness and adventurousness, eager to take chances and happy to push the limits. It’s also a reflection of the restless energy and enduring curiosity that has marked Cockburn’s career as a musician and songwriter.

Tickets for this concert may be reserved through the Chandler Box Office at 728-6464 between 3-6 p.m. or online at tickets@chandlerarts.org.
