Has Conflict

At the Braintree Town Meeting I brought up the issue about conflict of interest pertaining to our selectboard chairperson. On June 1, 1999 the then selectboard adopted a "conflict of interest" policy. The current chairperson would do well to read it and see how many times since she has been chairperson was she part of a "conflict of interest."

She would also do well to read Volumes 1 and 2 of the "Book of Opinions" concerning selectpeople do’s and don’ts. Some things that have been done were inappropriate, while others were plainly illegal.

I think the biggest reason this town has gone through so many public officials in the last four to five years is because of the way they were treated by the selectboard chairperson. At the very least the treatment was inappropriate.
